image

When opening the Dependencie feature from the Menu on the left in the app you can see an infinite canvas that displays all your Tasks and Dependencies.

Dependecies are linked together and visually linked.

If you have Tasks that are paused the dates when they become active again are shown with a dotted line.

Pick Parent / Child

You can add a new parent or child to a selected Task via the > buttons at the beginning and end of a Task. Klick one of them and connect it to a Task. The possible Tasks to link to will be highlighted.

Circular References

When picking a parent or child Task, we actively hide some Tasks that would create a circular reference where Task A is dependant on Task B which is dependant on Task A.

Task Actions

You can trigger certain actions for a Task like creating children, extracting or spitting.

Creating children

When you create one or more child Tasks, they will automatically be dependant on the selected Task to be done. To do so, klick the Create Children button under the v button.

Extracting a Task

If a Task has a parent and a child Task in it's dependency chain, you can extract it. The extracted Task will be extracted without any parent or child dependencies and the other Tasks in the chain will be fused back together.

Splitting

You can split a Task into Subtasks. Keep in mind that the original Task will be deleted. This feature will help you to break down big Tasks without having to redo all the dependencies.
